Material Excellence: Full-Grain Box Calf Leather The quality of an Oxford is determined by the “tightness” of the leather grain. We utilize premium full-grain box calf leather, sourced from world-renowned tanneries. Box calf is prized for its ability to take a high-gloss “mirror shine” while remaining supple enough to develop a beautiful patina over time. Unlike corrected-grain leathers that use plastic coatings to hide imperfections, our full-grain leather is natural and breathable. The interior is fully lined with vegetable-tanned glove leather, which naturally wicks away moisture and prevents the buildup of odors during long conferences or formal events.

Construction: The Goodyear Welt To ensure these shoes last a lifetime, we use the Goodyear Welt construction method. This involves stitching a strip of leather (the welt) to both the upper and the insole, then stitching the outsole to that same welt. This creates a highly water-resistant bond and, more importantly, allows the shoe to be completely resoled by a cobbler once the bottom wears down. Between the insole and outsole, we have placed a layer of natural cork filler. Over a few weeks of wear, this cork will “mold” to the unique shape of your foot, providing a custom-fit level of support that mass-produced cemented shoes can never replicate.
