The Concept: The Spirit of Effortless Summer The canvas slip-on is the ultimate expression of relaxed, coastal living. Born from the surf and skate culture of the 1970s, it has evolved into a universal symbol of casual ease. The Canvas Slip-on Shoe is designed for the individual who values speed and simplicity—the “grab and go” footwear for a morning coffee run, a trip to the beach, or a casual day of content creation. It is a shoe that looks better the more it is worn, gaining character with every adventure.
Material Focus: 12oz Heavy-Duty Canvas We use a premium 12oz cotton canvas for the upper, which is significantly more durable than the thin fabrics used in budget slip-ons. This “heavy-duty” canvas provides structure to the shoe while remaining highly breathable. The material is pre-washed to give it a soft, “broken-in” feel from the start. The collar of the shoe is padded with a thin layer of foam to provide extra comfort around the ankle and prevent rubbing. The dual elastic gores on the tongue ensure that the shoe adapts to the height of your instep, providing a secure fit without the need for laces.
Vulcanized Construction The longevity of a canvas shoe depends on how the sole is attached. We use a traditional vulcanization process, where the rubber sole is fused to the canvas upper under high heat. This creates a permanent bond that is far superior to standard glues. The outsole is made from a high-grip “Waffle” gum rubber, providing excellent traction on various surfaces. Inside, a removable EVA foam insole provides basic cushioning and can be replaced with custom orthotics if needed. Because these are often worn barefoot, the internal lining is treated with an anti-microbial coating to keep the shoes fresh.
Styling and Care These shoes are the natural partner for Summer Linen Shorts and a Basic Cotton T-Shirt. They also work well with Athletic Tech Joggers for a modern, sporty look. One of the best features of canvas slip-ons is their ease of care; they can be spot-cleaned with a mild detergent and a soft brush. For a deeper clean, they can be hand-washed and air-dried. To maintain the bright white of the rubber sidewalls, a simple wipe with a damp cloth or a magic eraser will keep them looking crisp.
